About Us

Our Home

Our home has a special story. Built by Zac’s grandparents in 1960, it recently underwent a major renovation in Fall 2021. We’re excited for it to remain a cherished family gathering place, where we’ll create new traditions and memories together. Now, we’re thrilled to share its warmth and legacy with you. We’ve taken care to preserve its character during the updates and provide everything you need for a memorable stay. Welcome to your home away from home, where you will feel a sense of belonging and long to return again and again!

Lake Junaluska

The rich history of Lake Junaluska unfolds across many generations! Originally envisioned as a sanctuary for those within the Methodist Church in 1913, it now embraces visitors from every corner of the globe. Lake Junaluska honors its namesake, Chief Junaluska, a revered figure of Cherokee heritage, who traversed the harrowing Trail of Tears from this very land to Oklahoma. He was renowned not only for his courageous act in saving President Andrew Jackson but also for his enduring commitment to peace and harmony. Lake Junaluska continues to embody a sense of peace and harmony today.
